New Nissan Navara OFF-ROADER AT32

An updated version of the tough Nissan Navara has just been unveiled in France – welcome to the new Nissan Navara OFF-ROADER AT32. This new model is not only more efficient but also better to drive than the previous model.

The class-leading off-road ‘Go Anywhere’ capabilities of the rugged Navara have been developed with the world-famous Icelandic off-road experts Artic Trucks, which means that this updated Navara OFF-ROADER AT32 gets full underbody shielding that has been upgraded to a lightweight aluminium material. It is better shaped to ensure the vehicle’s underbody components are protected and therefore ready to handle the most challenging landscapes that are thrown its way.

To help it handle the roughest of terrains, the Navara is now fitted with new 31.6’ Nokian tyres that not only improve fuel economy and emissions, but also enhances the vehicle’s on-road handling without compromising its off-road ability. These special satin black finished alloy wheels are fitted with dual valves allowing fast and accurate adjustment of tyre pressure when moving between different terrains, which can be helpful.

The bespoke all-terrain wheel arch extensions and all-terrain optimised Bilstein performance suspension that were fitted to the previous model have been incorporated onto the new Navara OFF-ROADER AT32, as they worked so well. However, there are also some optional accessories that some owners may like to have on their new Navara, namely an electronic lock for the front differential to boost traction in extreme conditions. And for those who will be taking their Navara through lots of water, there is an air intake snorkel available, which increases the Navara’s maximum wading depth to an impressive 800mm, which should easily be enough for the most adventurous owner.

On-board technology is shared with the N-Guard model, on which this vehicle is based. So you get Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Intelligent Emergency Braking and an Intelligent Around View Monitor.

On the cosmetic side, the Navara OFF-ROADER AT32 gets special badging on the front wings, arch extensions, side steps, wheel centres, tailgate and mud guards.

We have upgraded the OFF-ROADER AT32 so it can maintain its position as the ultimate Navara while bringing new efficiency and becoming fully WLTP compliant. It’s the perfect blend of in-car technology, comfort and extreme off-road performance.”

The new Nissan Navara OFF-ROADER AT32 goes on sale this month across Europe with pricing to be announced as it is launched in each country. For more information please visit www.nissan.co.uk
