If owning a Range Rover isn’t exclusive enough, then perhaps the new limited edition Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic Black is for you. Land Rover UK has announced that they will be producing just 500 of these rather exclusive and unique top of the range vehicles which will be brimming with extra goodies for the UK market.
The model is based on the top-selling D180 R-Dynamic SE with its 2.0-litre diesel power unit, which produces 177bhp and is delivered through an automatic gearbox to all four wheels. A respectable 0-62mph time is achieved in 8.4sec and the Range Rover R-Dynamic SE will reach a top speed of 125mph. Active Dynamics helps to optimise the level of comfort for passengers whatever terrain you happen to be driving on.
So, what can you expect to get on this rather unique Range Rover? Well it comes with the limited edition features Black Exterior Pack, which includes Narvik Black bonnet and tailgate lettering, grille detail, a front bumper vent finisher and bumper accent.
There is a choice of two metallic paint colour finishes in either a rather dramatic Santorini Black or cool Eiger Grey. You also get privacy glass; a fixed panoramic glass sunroof and the Velar R-Dynamic Black is shod with 21-inch Gloss Black Alloy Wheels.
Turning to the interior, the steering wheel is heated for those chilly winter mornings and the Ebony Perforated Grained Leather is complemented by an Ebony Morzine Headlining.
The Range Rover Velar won the World Car Design of the Year title at the 2018 World Car Awards and was judged to be the most beautifully designed vehicle on the planet and perhaps this special limited edition model adds another level of style and sophistication.
In fact, Rawdon Glover, Jaguar Land Rover UK’s Managing Director said: “The Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic Black builds on Velar’s sophisticated design package enhancing it for a customer who is looking for an element of differentiation. We look forward to delivering the first limited editions in early 2020.”
