Bridgestone at the British Motor Show

The British Motor Show gets underway this coming Friday 21st August at the Farnborough International Expo Centre and once again Bridgestone, in partnership with Kwik Fit, is supporting the show for a fifth successive year.

This year’s show promises to be the tyre manufacturer’s most memorable appearance of all with the ever popular ‘Racing Bug’ motorsport experience, giving visitors the opportunity to put their driving skills to the test behind the wheel of immersive racing simulators.

This year there are some brand-new zones and features, including The Showroom, The Grid, an expanded Ride & Drive and the Discovery Garage as well as interactive exhibits, classic and concept cars and live displays. In short, there will be lots of thrilling live action and hands-on experiences for all the family to enjoy.

Bridgestone and Kwik Fit will for the first time be sponsoring the Live Arena, located near the main entrance. The warm up starts at 10:30am on Friday before the action gets underway where visitors can watch some of the UK’s top drift drivers go wheel-to-wheel and tyre-to-tyre in the Reflex Drift Battles session with incredible car control as the drivers push their vehicles to the limit in what has to be one of the most exciting sessions of the day.

The partnership also extends to the Supercar Paddock this year, where visitors will be able to get up close and personal with a mouth-watering collection of some of the world’s most impressive and exotic high performance cars.

Bridgestone’s dedicated activation tent will showcase the brand’s latest tyre technology, where visitors can discover how Bridgestone is helping motorists enjoy safe, comfortable and dependable driving.

Drew Chapman, Consumer Sales Director of Bridgestone UK, commented:

“The British Motor Show is a fantastic opportunity for Bridgestone in partnership with Kwik Fit, to connect with motorists and celebrate the excitement and diversity of the automotive world.

“This year is particularly exciting as we take on a new role by sponsoring the Live Arena and Supercar Paddock alongside our long-standing partner Kwik Fit. From supercars and live action to immersive racing and our latest tyre technology, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”
