Genesis to Unveil GV60 at Salon Privé London

The inaugural Salon Privé London, which is being held at Royal Hospital Chelsea between 21st and 23rd April, will see Genesis unveil its brand-new all-electric GV60, the company’s first dedicated electric platform-based vehicle and it will also mark the car’s European debut.

The GV60 offers the technology of a high-performance electric car in the shape of a sleek and athletic coupé crossover utility vehicle, building on Genesis’ philosophy of setting a new standard in customer service, coupled with luxury design.

The car’s European debut is particularly fitting given that this is the inaugural Salon Privé London, which will no doubt be the city’s must-attend automotive event of 2022.

Director David Bagley commented:

“It’s a privilege to open the first day of Salon Privé London with the European debut of the Genesis GV60. This is a key model for a brand really making its presence felt and allowing customers the chance to experience its unique philosophy on a personal level is a perfect fit with the Salon Privé approach.”

The company’s first electric car, the Genesis Electrified G80, was announced last year, with the GV60 using the same dedicated full-electric platform, underlining the brand’s commitment to sustainability and luxury. Genesis plans to launch a total of three electric cars in Europe this year.

You can choose from three models, with the GV60 available as a rear-wheel-drive model, an all-wheel-drive model, and a performance model with all-wheel-drive. Each of the three models are fitted with a 77.4kWh battery, which can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, which is big stride forward. And when it comes to range, the RWD model offers an impressive maximum driving range of 451 kilometres on a full charge.

Dominique Boesch, Managing Director, Genesis Motor Europe, said:

“Salon Privé is the perfect event for our all-electric GV60 to be making its European debut. The GV60 marks the first step in our electrification journey as we progress the launch of the Genesis brand – so it is fitting that both Genesis and Salon Privé are both celebrating firsts as we look forward to the inaugural Salon Privé London. To be a part of this collection of amazing, inspirational and famous marques is exciting for Genesis.”

Eight cars will be making their global, European or UK debut at this month’s Salon Privé London. Other brands that will be on display include the latest models from Alpine, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Genesis, Jaguar Land Rover, Lamborghini, Morgan Motor Company, Pininfarina, Porsche and Rolls-Royce.

There will also be British specialists Charge Cars, Envisage, Everrati, Jensen Automotive and Overfinch, providing visitors with a line-up that covers everything from reimagined classic cars to next-generation hypercars and EVs.
