The latest new car and van registration figures published this week by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders shows that Vauxhall remains the best-selling electric Light Commercial Vehicle (e-LCV) manufacturer in the UK.
Van registration figures for November show that the Vauxhall Vivaro Electric is the UK’s best-selling e-LCV to date in 2022, with 496 registered in November and a total of 3,750 so far this year. The Vivaro Electric range’s success has meant that Vauxhall remains the country’s best-selling e-LCV manufacturer year-to-date, with a 28.6 per cent market share.
Vauxhall grew its Light Commercial Vehicle market share to 9.8 per cent year-to-date in November, consolidating its number two market position in the UK Market. It is also one of the few manufacturers able to offer businesses and fleets with electric van options across its model line-up., with the Vivaro Electric, Combo Electric and Movano Electric.
The Vivaro Electric has won a long list of awards, including ‘Medium Van of the Year’ at the What Van? Awards 2022 and ‘Best Medium Electric Van’ at the Driving Electric Awards 2022. It was also voted ‘International Van of the Year 2021’.
The Vivaro Electric is available with a 50kWh or a 75kWh battery and achieves a WLTP range of up to 205 miles from a single charge and has a maximum payload of up to 1,226kg.
James Taylor, Managing Director of Vauxhall, says:
“Electric vans have seen tremendous growth this year, with the sector set to flourish even more in the coming years. With that in mind, it’s fantastic to see fleets and businesses choose Vauxhall when it comes to making the switch to electric with all the environmental, financial and experience benefits that brings”.
