Exclusive FORZO Glickenhaus ‘Road To Race’ Watch Collection

This year will see the 89th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans taking place over the weekend of 21st to 22nd August in what promises to be an historic race with a record entry of 62 cars featuring five Hypercars, which is the new top class of Endurance. It will also be the first time that American manufacturer Glickenhaus will compete in the race, entering two of their brand-new Glickenhaus 007 LMH cars along with Alpine and Toyota Gazoo Racing fielding its new GR010 in an attempt to achieve a fourth successive outright win.

There will also be two all-women line-ups with Richard Mille Racing Team in LMP2 and Iron Lynx in LMGTE Am. These two teams will be looking to build on last year’s excellent performance and demonstrate that motorsport can be a sport for everyone. And there will be a return of Corvette to LMGTE, with the US firm running the C8-R for the first time at Le Mans but will face strong competition from Ferrari and Porsche.

A 25-strong field of cars will be competing in LMP2, with United Autosports returning to Le Mans to defend its title after last season’s strong performance, while in the LMGTE Am class, 24 cars will be competing, with last year’s winner TF Sport returning with two of the four Aston Martins in the field and will up against eight Porsches and 12 Ferraris.

To celebrate Glickenhaus’ participation in this year’s race and biggest challenge in motorsport, the company has collaborated with FORZO Watches to design a limited edition exclusive Glickenhaus ‘Road to Race’ watch.

Glickenhaus Watch By Forzo

If you would like to own one of these exclusive watches and be part of the Le Mans story you will need to place your order before 6th August. As well as being the proud owner of one of these fabulous watches, you will also have your name on a sticker placed on the side of the two Glickenhaus cars racing at Le Mans next month, as they compete for one of the most hard-fought prizes in motorsports in a race of endurance, attrition and resilience.

New watch owners will also have access to a private WhatsApp group direct from the Le Mans pit wall run by the two team principals Jim and Jesse Glickenhaus and you will also receive a special signed print of the team.

The brand-new Glickenhaus’ racing car, which was put through its paces at this month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, has been inspired by the golden age of motorsport in the 1960s, when Ford famously took on the might of Ferrari to clinch victory at Le Mans in 1966 with an historic 1-2-3 sweep. This can clearly be seen in the colours and shape of the stunning new Glickenhaus 007H Hypercar.

This theme has naturally been carried through into the design of the new FORZO Glickenhaus watch, which is available in both Chronograph and Automatic versions and comes with a personal message from Jim Glickenhaus on the case back, reminding you to always ‘enjoy the journey’.

Designed in England, the watches are made to the very highest racing quality in stainless steel, with an ultra-precise Seiko movement.

If you would like to own one of these exclusive FORZO watches and be part of the Glickenhaus team competing at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, you can order your very own limited edition watch by clicking here before 6th August 2021 with the race itself getting under way at 16:00 CET on Saturday 21st August.
