Fisker Ocean All-Electric SUV European Debut

Earlier today at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Fisker Inc., creator of the world’s most sustainable electric vehicles and advanced mobility solutions, debuted their brand-new Fisker Ocean all-electric SUV to the European market.

The Fisker Ocean Sport starts from £34,990 including VAT here in the UK and can accommodate up to five passengers with a range of 275 miles on a full charge. However, the top trim Fisker Ocean Extreme offers an impressive 390 miles on a full charge and comes fitted with a dual-motor AWD system and gives the driver three driving modes as well as some brand-new safety features.

CEO Henrik Fisker commented:

“Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is the ideal place to showcase the Fisker Ocean, as our vehicle is full of advanced technology, including over-the-air offerings that we will take to a new level. With the Fisker Ocean’s combination of performance, value and sustainability, I believe we have a unique electric vehicle with industry-first features, such as California Mode, a 17.1-inch rotating screen and the longest range in our segment.

“Europe is critical to the company’s success as we work towards building the most sustainable vehicle and starting production in November.”

Currently, there are 47 prototypes of the Fisker Ocean under construction as Fisker works to develop a comprehensive and well-integrated European strategy. Last year the Manhattan Beach, California-based start-up opened an office in Munich and is in the process of adding staff to serve the fast-growing electric vehicle market.

As well as the Munich operation, Fisker has plans to add additional centres in other European countries.

Fisker has also come up with an industry-leading basic warranty for its vehicles, of six years and 100,000 kilometres as well as a powertrain warranty of 10 years and 160,000 kilometres, plus a battery warranty of 10 years and 160,000 kilometres (whichever comes first in all cases). The Fisker Ocean warranty also includes corrosion coverage and roadside assistance.

This will be supported by service centres throughout Europe. The company is offering an at-home vehicle pick-up for servicing as well as the Fisker Mobile Service, where a skilled technicians will come out to the customer.

Last year Fisker created its Fisker Magic Works, based in England as the division’s headquarters. This branch of the Fisker organisation will be developing special editions of the company’s vehicles alongside new, high-performance projects that combine sustainability with Henrik Fisker’s own personal commitment to beautiful, emotional design.
